The gorgeous sculpture depict of a nude man holds stretches his arms over his head tilting his body to the side. The roughness and lines of the sculpture mimic the texture of the rock he leans against. Signed by August Rodin, this sculpture displays his artistic style textured surfaces. Rodin suggested emotion and individual's character was greater revealed through physical features. The pain and strife is artistically expressed in positioning of her facial expression and the texture of her skin. This unique Rodin piece was crafted using the lost wax method. The sculpture stands on a black marble base and is signed Rodin.
