True to the artist Henry Moore abstract and representational style, the woman is proportionally exaggerated, giving a defined plumpness to every part of her form. The pleasantly full-figured lady sits on a Park Bench both calm and relaxed. Her head tilts dexterously upwards as she casts her eyes to the blue skies of a beautiful summer day. A sense of peace and happiness runs across her smile. Her left arms hangs downward onto her lap. Her right arm rest on the bench as if she were posing for the beholder. She was created using the lost-wax method of casting. This technique allows the molten precious metal to mold to the smallest detail of the artists cast. Fantastic detail is seen in the folds of skin on her stomach, neck and mouth. The 100% bronze sculpture with a brown patina finish is mounted upon a black marble base with the signature of Moore.
