The plump angel stands nude walking upon a decollated head that smiles with chubby cheeks under the weight. True to Botero's exaggeration of form to create a work of art centered on the volume and shape of mass, the limbs and parts of the angel's figure, are proportionally embellished, creating a certain tactility to the sculpture. She looks out at the beholder, bold with an amiable gentleness, holding a dagger upward in her right hand. The handmade bronze sculpture was cast using the ancient method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for preservation. It is mounted upon a black marble base with the European Bronze Finery stamp and the artist Botero's signature.
