This figurine displays a jockey riding his racehorse after a race. He sits in a relaxed position with both hands on his horse rope as his majestic creature towers under him in proud stance. The man is dressed in full jockey attire and the horse sports a nicely detailed saddle. This piece is full of tiny details that when compiled, create a highly authentic creation. This can be seen in details like the muscular build of the horse, the cap that the jockey has on his head, the headstall around the horse's head where his reins were attached, and even the intricate way in which the horse's tail flows behind him. Standing on a rectangular marble base and is signed by Artist Praxiteles.
